The Fincher’s Quartet was formed some 50 years ago with the original members being Mrs. Helen Fincher, Johnny, Jackie and Joel Fincher. George Fincher or Dad was the critic of the group that was always there telling us boys “now that’s a real song boys” or if he didn’t like it, he would just ignore us. After mom passed, it was just us three boys until Steven; at age 9 started playing the bass for the group and now singing the baritone. A short time after Dad had passed, Jason Powell joined the group playing lead guitar and now sings tenor. He has been with us for over 20 years now. Christie or Pearl as we sometimes call her has had her ups and downs in life with a brain tumor she has fought since a young child. Nevertheless, she has always been faithful to sing and tell her story about what the Lord had done in her life. We lost our big brother Johnny in May of 2006 from a sudden heart attack. Although we miss him dearly, he has just been able to experience the place that we have sang about for all these years a little earlier than expected. The Fincher’s travel in all parts of Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Missouri, spreading the gospel, telling in song and testimony about what Jesus has done in their lives. Whether it is at a church social event, homecoming, benefits, and funerals or singing conventions, you can always count on The Fincher’s to do their part. With the busy schedule of singing, Jackie Fincher also holds over 15 revivals a year with the encouraging message of salvation through Jesus Christ. Thank you for your support of The Fincher’s all of these years.
